Traci has stuck to the same business philosophy for over three decades, combining a relentless work ethic with her signature generosity. In 2006, the Ahwatukee Foothills News (AFN) named Ahwatukee Carpets Best Décor Store and in 2008 she earned Business of the Year from the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce. In 2019 and in again in 2020, Ahwatukee Carpets was named Best Home Improvement/Remodeling title by the AFN.
The secret to her longevity? A business plan that integrates giving back to her community as well as participating in several business and networking organizations. Traci has served on countless committees on behalf of the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce, the Foothills YMCA, National Charity League Ahwatukee chapter, Ahwatukee Rainmakers, Seton Catholic Prep, HCLC and the Fiesta Bowl, to name a few.
Traci’s showroom serves as a collection point for various items throughout the year, encouraging the community to lend a hand up to those in need, Her many efforts support charitable organizations including the Kyrene Family Resource Center, Chandler Christian Community Center, Valley Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Girls Rule Foundation and Cinderella Affair. She has employed a local high school student through the Tempe Union Workbridge program for the last several years. She’s not sure who’s rewarded the most, the student or her!
Traci shares her passion for her life’s work with her daughter, Bailee. Together, the two participated in the National Charity League, Ahwatukee Chapter. When Bailee left for college, Traci became a big sister with the Valley Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She believes that you serve the community which supports you.
